Bryan Baeumler
As one of the most recognizable faces in North American lifestyle television, Bryan Baeumler will share his top tips for stress-free renovations. A natural-born teacher, the Gemini-award winning host has been educating and entertaining viewers across Canada and the U.S. since 2007 on the hit shows Disaster DIY, Canada’s Handyman Challenge, Leave it to Bryan, and House of Bryan. Bryan’s quick wit and easy-going personality have made him a huge hit with viewers on all of his home renovation shows.
Chris Palmer
As a professional industrial designer turned carpenter and contractor, Chris brings a new perspective to the world of handcrafting beautiful custom builds. Chris is passionate about sharing his knowledge on the latest and greatest home renovation tips for DIY'ers, and is a regular guest expert on The Marilyn Denis Show, The Global Morning Show and other daytime TV stations. You may also recognize Chris from other shows from HGTV, such as Canada's Handyman Challenge, Income Property, Open House Overhaul and Backyard Builds. Katrina Barclay & Evan Blackburn
Katrina Barclay is the owner of upcycled furniture boutique and workshop, Malenka Originals. Over the last six years, Katrina has shown thousands of people how to refresh and revitalize their old, tired furniture. A graduate of Algonquin College's Carpentry and Joinery program, Evan Blackburn has tackled everything from large timber frames to small miniatures. Over the last few years, he has spent most of his time teaching students woodworking techniques, and has recently teamed up with Malenka Originals to offer in-house repair services. This dynamic duo will demonstrate how a few simple repairs and refinishing techniques can help completely transform your old furniture.
Sue Pitchforth
If you’re looking for ways to decorate your home on a budget, Sue Pitchforth is your go-to gal. Sue is an International Award-Winning Designer, and Readers’ Choice Winner for eight years in a row. As the owner of Décor Therapy Plus, she loves sharing her passion for design and teaches several workshops and seminars on topics such as interior decorating, home staging, colour, and managing renovations.
The Lagois Design-Build Expert Panel
For over 30 years, Lagois Design-Build-Renovate has specialized in designing and constructing renovations and additions in the Ottawa area. Through this moderated expert panel session, their team will guide you through the renovation process from start to finish, and highlight key aspects of the design-build model.
